It is used on all types of soil and under all agricultural crops for the main, pre-sowing and post-sowing application in the rows during sowing.
It is used in conditions of protected soil together with nitrogen and potassium fertilizers. Thanks to its physiological acidity, this fertilizer has proven itself well on soils saturated with bases (chernozem, chestnut soils).

The composition of double ammonium superphosphate includes calcium, the compounds of which are used to eliminate alkalinity and salinity of soils, especially on soils with a high concentration of sodium, the ions of which are displaced from the soil composition by calcium ions, the alkalinity of the soil decreases and its water permeability is restored.
Sulfur is included in double ammonified superphosphate. It has been established that sulfur slows down oxidative processes in plants and enhances regenerative processes. At the same time, the vitality of plants increases, for example, in oil crops - the fat content in seeds increases, incereals – the protein content in the grain increases, which improves its quality. At a relatively low level of nitrogen nutrition, the effect of sulfur is mostly positive due to the increase in the supply of phosphorus to the plant.
The positive effect of sulfur often goes unnoticed, since it largely affects not the size of the harvest, but its quality. In addition, the external manifestation of sulfur starvation of plants is usually masked by an almost complete similarity with signs of a lack of nitrogen nutrition. This is due to the fact that nitrogen and sulfur have common features in plant metabolism.
The main reasons that force in recent years to pay increased attention to sulfur in order to improve grain quality are the introduction of ballastless, highly concentrated fertilizers into agriculture and, as a rule, the predominant use ofnitrogen fertilizers, aimed primarily at increasing yields.
In connection with the decrease in the use of simple phosphorus fertilizers (superphosphate) in various soil and climatic zones, the problem of lack of sulfur content arises.
