Properties of the drug:

Melody Duo 66.8 WP, ZP is a new systemic-contact combined fungicide that contains two active substances with different mechanisms of action — traditional contact (propineb) and innovative systemic — iprovalicarb.

Iprovalikarb is characterized by the formation of a "depot", where a significant part of the active substance remains in the upper layers of the leaf surface with gradual penetration deeper into the plant tissues. Having reached the vessels, the active substance quickly moves through them in the acropetal (from bottom to top) direction, protecting the culture from new infection and providing long-term protection of the plant. Acting as a prophylactic and therapeutic agent, iprovalicarb is also a leader among systemic agents in inhibiting pathogen sporulation.

The prophylactic effect of iprovalicarb is manifested in blocking the germination of zoospores and preventing the infection of leaves.

The therapeutic effect is due to the ability to disrupt the structure of microtubules along which substances necessary for the construction of mushroom cells, such as glucan, move. With the help of enzymes, glucan is transformed into cellulose, from which microfibrils are formed, which make up the cell wall of the mycelium. Due to the effect of iprovalicarb, the mycelium develops deformed, with thickened walls and eventually dies.

The antisporulant activity of iprovalicarb prevents the formation of sporangiophores, which germinate through stomata and form zoosporangia. The effect on sporangiophores is similar to the effect on mycelium in leaf tissues. Additives to iprovalicarb in the preparative form also contain propineb, an active substance that has a contact multifaceted effect on the pathogen.

This ensures the synergy of two active substances affecting different stages of pathogen development and excellent control in the spread of the disease. In addition, the presence of a sufficiently large amount of zinc in propineb makes it possible to consider treatment with a fungicide also as an additional application of this important trace element (the lack of which grapes are very sensitive to).

Treatment of Melody Duo at a rate of 2.5 kg/ha provides an additional application of 344 g of zinc per 1 ha.

Preventive use of Melody Duo is recommended - before damage by the causative agent of the culture. However, if it is impossible to use the drug for preventive purposes, the first treatment is performed as a treatment, and subsequent treatments should be carried out at shorter intervals for effective control of the development and spread of the disease.
General recommendations:

Melody Duo can be mixed with many insecticides and fungicides of the following preparation forms: water-soluble powder (WP); water-dispersible granules (WG); suspension concentrate (SC).

If tank partners with alkaline properties are chosen, they should be used immediately after preparation.

Before preparing the working solution, it is recommended to conduct an additional compatibility test.
